Patented H2RENEW™ hydrogen recovery platform accelerates commercial adoption across semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure and commercial space.
EAST HARTFORD, CT, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SKYRE, Inc. (“SKYRE” or the “Company”), today announced multiple commercial contracts totaling several million dollars with top-tier global companies, underscoring growing commercial demand for its patented H2RENEW™ hydrogen recovery platform. SKYRE is a commercialization-stage clean technology company developing electrochemical industrial gas processing systems for critical industrial and aerospace applications. The contracts span two of the world’s fastest-growing markets—semiconductor manufacturing and AI infrastructure, and commercial space exploration—and include several initial contracts that have already generated follow-on and expanded-scope opportunities progressing through SKYRE’s sales pipeline.
Under the agreements, SKYRE will manufacture and deliver units of its patented H2RENEW™ platform. Originally developed through NASA- and Department of Energy-supported programs, H2RENEW transforms valuable gases from waste industrial gas streams through electrochemical separation, purification and compression, enabling their reuse in demanding industrial applications. Deliveries include units from the platform’s newest configuration, the Gemini-1 Series, a compact, solid-state system with no moving parts. Its modular architecture combines independent 25-kilogram-per-day units to scale production to thousands of kilograms per day, allowing each installation to be right-sized without redesigning the platform. H2RENEW delivers recovered hydrogen at up to 99.9999% purity while reducing customers’ hydrogen costs and environmental footprint by as much as 50%.
Semiconductor and AI Infrastructure
SKYRE has been awarded multiple commercial contracts by top-tier global companies in the semiconductor and advanced computing supply chain, including a leading global provider of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and one of the world’s largest independent semiconductor foundries. Under these agreements, SKYRE will manufacture and deliver H2RENEW™ units to recycle hydrogen and other process gases used in semiconductor manufacturing, supporting production of advanced chips and semiconductor devices that power AI infrastructure.
Commercial Space Exploration
SKYRE has also been awarded multiple contracts — undertaken in partnership with an international space agency and a Fortune Global 500 systems integrator — to design and build H2RENEW and specialty high-pressure electrolyzer units supporting a commercial space fueling and in-space mobility program. The systems generate and manage hydrogen and oxygen for onboard fuel and power in a closed-loop configuration—the same core capability required for sustained human presence on the Moon and future Mars missions. These programs position SKYRE’s electrochemical hydrogen processing technology as foundational infrastructure for future lunar and Mars exploration.
To support increasing customer demand, SKYRE is expanding manufacturing capacity at its East Hartford, Connecticut facility, with a phased plan to reach production capacity of hundreds of units over the next 3 years. The expansion positions SKYRE to meet growing customer demand across semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure, and commercial space applications.
