Grace Christian Church Announces Discovery on Adventure Island VBS 2026

SAN ANGELO, TX — May 2026 – Grace Christian Church, in partnership with St. Luke United Methodist Church, announces registration is now open for Vacation Bible School 2026: Discovery on Adventure Island. The four-day program will take place June 1-4, 2026, for children ages 4 through 6th grade.

Young explorers will embark on an unforgettable journey filled with adventure, fun, and faith as they are inspired to be beacons of God’s light to the world. The program features exciting Bible stories, fun games, creative activities, and meaningful lessons that show God’s presence in every twist and turn.

“Our VBS focus is to let kids know that God loves them,” said Senior Pastor TJ Shoop-York. “This partnership between St. Luke United Methodist Church and Grace Christian brings together three denominations—Disciples of Christ, Presbyterian USA, and United Methodist—all united in helping children discover that God is with us wherever we go.”

What to Expect

VBS 2026 offers four fun-filled days of science, crafts, games, stories, and music. Each day includes engaging Bible stories brought to life through dynamic storytelling and interactive lessons, along with lively music sessions where kids can express their faith through song and movement. From 5:30-6:00 PM each day, kids and their families are welcome to join for supper in the Fellowship Hall at St. Luke UMC, providing a great way to kick off each evening of VBS.

VBS is free of charge, and donations are welcome to support the event. All participants must be potty-trained. Children should wear comfortable clothes and shoes and may bring a water bottle; all other materials will be provided. The church facility is accessible with ramps provided, and staff will assist to ensure all children can participate.
